UPDATE: Dancing with the Stars all-star contestant Melissa Rycroft did perform on tonight’s broadcast after suffering an on-set injury Sunday.
She was hospitalized after hurting her head and neck while planning out camera blocking for Monday night’s performance show with dance partner Tony Dovolani.
Earlier today, ABC released this statement: “We can confirm Melissa was diagnosed with a disc herniation at the C4-C5 level of her cervical spine. At this time, Melissa’s ability to perform in tonight’s show will be a show time decision.”
Rycroft, a former contestant on The Bachelor, is competing against Shawn Johnson, Gilles Marini, Kelly Monaco, Emmitt Smith, Sabrina Bryan, Apolo Ohno and Kirstie Alley for the mirror ball trophy. Five all-stars (Bristol Palin, Helio Castroneves, Drew Lachey, Joey Fatone and Pamela Anderson) have already been eliminated this season.
