You could say that we here at EW are a bit obsessed with reunions. In fact, our third annual Reunions Issue hits the stands on Friday, featuring gatherings of 10 casts, including those of Melrose Place, Vacation, and Clueless. But one assembly of actors has us exceptionally excited, because it’s going to be much bigger than just an amazing photo shoot. Yes, we’re speaking of Arrested Development, the beloved, inspired, zany, low-rated 2003-2006 Fox comedy about the Bluths, a family of self-obsessed oddballs whose real estate fortune vanished, sending them into financial and spiritual chaos.
All of the actors — Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, David Cross, Portia De Rossi, Michael Cera, Tony Hale, Alia Shawkat, Jessica Walter and Jeffrey Tambor — are busy shooting at least 10 new episodes for Netflix that will debut in the spring. (A movie is being planned as well, though it is not yet greenlighted.) Pick up a copy of the Reunions Issue to read what Arrested creator Mitchell Hurwitz and several cast members have to say about the return of the Bluths, which apparently involves birds.
To celebrate the show’s rebirth, we asked the cast to strike the most naturalistic pose they could in whatever clothes they happened to wear to the shoot. Enjoy.
