Prince Harry’s nude photo scandal has done anything but stay in Vegas. First, the photos were leaked online, then they were published on the cover of a British tabloid. Of course, no one actually seemed to be scandalized after the pics surfaced. If anything, many were all too eager to join in the fun.
The fun reached a new high this week with an online video game based on the royal’s Vegas adventures. Yes, you read that right. A game.
The object of “Save Harry” is to help the naked prince (who clutches his, um, crown jewels) safely escape the Las Vegas hotel without being photographed. In the first level, scantily-clad women with giant cameras prowl about pool tables just waiting for you to make a wrong move. As you progress upwards and out of the hotel room, the women are replaced by members of the hotel staff and finally the army. (Confession: I only know the bit about the army courtesy of the game description. I unfortunately have yet to make it beyond the hall outside Harry’s hotel room.)
The game was designed by two Dutch developers behind the website GamesOnly. In an email to TechCrunch, website founder Robin Ras said that he couldn’t pass up the chance to make light of the so-called scandal. “To us, the way in which this prince made the news was so funny that we simply had to use this opportunity.”
Which makes me wonder… What else could Prince Harry’s nude photos inspire? I’m hoping for an underwear line or maybe a coffee table book. (Hey, that man is fine.) How about you, PopWatchers?
