Hulu Plus, the premium-version of Hulu that allows customers access to a huge backlog of Disney, NBC, ABC, Fox and The CW TV shows, as well as current programming, is now available on Apple TV, according to Hulu’s blog. The blog post states, “Hulu Plus arrives on Apple TV today,” along with instructions on how to set up the $7.99 per month service.
This move is a significant change for Apple, which previously limited its consumers’ choices to iTunes and Netflix content services. Hulu Plus had been available on iPhone/iPad devices — as well as Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and boxes like Roku — but the implementation on Apple TV boosts both products, especially Apple’s as they expand their reach into the television market.
