'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' trailer: It's a history lesson, with vampires!

Posted on

If last week’s red-band trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter played up the last two words of the title, the newest, green-band trailer emphasizes the first two. This preview, in other words, is all about history. “Whatever history remembers of me, if it remembers anything at all, it shall only be a fraction of the truth,” says Lincoln (Benjamin Walker) in voice over. “For whatever else I am — a husband, a lawyer, a president — I shall always think of myself first and foremost as a hunter.”  Then, well, all hell breaks loose, intercut with the moment in Lincoln’s presidency that history remembers best of all: His famed Gettysburg Address. Check out the trailer below:

Love the gorgeous opening shot of the Washington Monument traveling back in time. Could do without the Batman Begins/Dark Knight-style score. What do you make of it?
