Then grab your yoga mats and take a seat. The cable network has unveiled a new yin-and-yang-ish icon and a rather Zen new catchphrase.
The marketing line is “lifetime. your life. your time” — in non-threatening lower-case letters. The tagline is meant to “evoke an aspirational tone and bolder spirit” that reflects the “dramatic cultural changes occurring among women.” For years the network’s signature tagline was the rather exclusionary-sounding “Television for Women,” then they tried out “My story is on Lifetime,” and then got all digital-sounding with “Connect. Play. Share.”
What do you think of the network’s new design and marketing hook?
