As tabloid-rocking relationship announcements go, this one was pretty low-key. On April 13, news that Brad Pitt, 48, and Angelina Jolie, 36, had gotten engaged broke after paparazzi snapped the actress wearing a reported 16-carat diamond ring. (No wedding date has been announced.) But while Pitt and Jolie — who’ve been together for seven years and have six kids — may want to keep things mellow, their nuptials will be the biggest ”I do” sensation since Prince William and Kate Middleton got hitched last April. François Navarre, owner of photo agency X17, says exclusive pics of the event could fetch up to $7 million, and in the weeks leading up to the big day, juicy revelations about the wedding would likely translate into a major newsstand sales increase for celebrity mags. (As for personally profiting, à la Kim Kardashian‘s reported $17.9 million haul from her wedding to Kris Humphries, some experts speculate that the charitable duo would donate any money generated.) Of course, good gossip might be hard to come by. Some Brangelina watchers predict the event will be held at the couple’s estate in the south of France, where paparazzi wouldn’t be allowed. Something tells us that would only make the world more interested.
