Leonard DiCarpio and Martin Scorcese to make The Wolf of Wall Street

Posted on

Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese will once again team up for The Wolf of Wall Street, an adaptation of the memoir by iconic mega-douche Jordan Belfort about his days as a high-flying, lude-popping, economy-destroying Wall Street stockbroker. The news was confirmed in a press release from Red Granite Pictures. The film will mark DiCaprio’s fifth collaboration with Scorsese — after Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Departed, and Shutter Island. More importantly, the film will offer DiCaprio the chance to explore an entirely new regional accent, since Belfort is a Queens native. The film was written by Terence Winter, the showrunner for the Scorsese-produced Boardwalk Empire. [Via Deadline]
