Tarsem Singh’s (Immortals) light, music-infused, tongue-in-cheek take on the fairy tale has Julia Roberts vamping as the evil queen, Lily Collins as a wide-eyed Snow White, and Armie Hammer as the chiseled-jawed prince charming. ”I wanted to find a midway ground between my personal style and a sweet fantasy film,” Singh tells EW. ”At its heart, it really is a family film. I think it’s fun enough for everybody.”

Snow White and the Huntsman
This debut feature from director Rupert Sanders looks to put the grim back in the Grimm fairy tale, with Charlize Theron as the murderous queen, a morose Chris Hemsworth as the huntsman, and a fierce-looking Kristen Stewart as Snow White. Sanders has no fear that the other Snow White movie will spoil his party: ”They are for totally different audiences. I never thought for a minute that we’d be arriving at the same ball in the same ball gown.”
