SXSW: 'Girls' gets some love

Posted on

SXSW was the perfect place for 25-year-old Lena Dunham to screen the first three episodes of her new TV series, Girls (premiering April 15 on HBO). She brought Creative Nonfiction, her first feature film, there in 2009, and a year later she walked away with the top prize for Tiny Furniture. This year, while introducing Girls, Dunham gushed, ”I love this festival!” Austin will forever claim her as its own.
