This documentary follows Jiro Ono, an 85-year-old world-renowned sushi chef who owns a small restaurant in a Tokyo subway station. As the first sushi chef to receive three Michelin stars, Ono’s life goal is perfecting the art of sushi. Yet like any artist, he still believes there is much left to learn. The film also focuses on Ono’s son, Yoshikazu, who will eventually take over the restaurant and feels pressured by filling his father’s shoes.
