Brittany Snow joins '1600 Penn'

UPDATE: Bill Pullman is set to play the President of the United States, Pullman’s agent confirmed to EW. Pullman previously played the presidential role in 1996’s Independence Day. In 1600 Penn, Pullman’s character is a heroic ex-marine named Dale Gilchrist who leads the show’s quirky first family.

Harry’s Law actress Brittany Snow has been cast in NBC comedy pilot 1600 Penn, a single-camera sitcom about a dysfunctional first family in the White House.

Snow will play Becca, the overachieving, perfectionist first daughter who helps raise her siblings. She plays opposite Book of Mormon star Josh Gad, who is set to play her clumsy older brother Skip.

The pilot is being produced by Jason Winer (Modern Family), former Obama speechwriter Jon Lovett and Gad, with Winer set to direct.
