Isaac Mizrahi has more to celebrate than the premiere of Project Runway: All-Stars. The fashion designer, and Runway judge, is a married man. Mizrahi announced on The Wendy Williams Show earlier this week that he had wed Arnold Germer at City Hill on Nov. 30. “We didn’t think we wanted to get married until they said we could in New York, and then it was like, ‘We’re getting married!” Mizrahi told Williams.
Despite his love for fashion, however, Mizrahi opted not to have a large wedding complete with the traditional Vera Wang designs. “We were terrified and decided to just elope,” he said. That doesn’t mean the ceremony wasn’t romantic — while the couple read their vows, Mizrahi “started sobbing … It was one of those moments. Like, I wasn’t expecting that kind of emotional, emotional impact. I think when it’s right … you know it.”
Mizrahi told Williams he and Germer still plan to celebrate their nuptials with a party possibly coinciding with their one-year anniversary: “And, yes, I will call Vera Wang, and she will do my dress.” Video after the jump! [via People]
