Actor Matthew McConaughey, 42, proposed to Brazilian model girlfriend Camila Alves, 28, on Dec. 25. The couple has a son, Levi, 3, and a daughter, Vida, 2…. Lady Antebellum’s Dave Haywood, 29, became engaged to girlfriend Kelli Cashiola on Dec. 19.

Expecting
Suburgatory actor Jeremy Sisto, 37, announced on Dec. 20 that he and his wife, Addie Lane, are expecting a baby boy in March. They are already parents to 2-year-old daughter Charlie-Ballerina.

Births
Robert De Niro, 68, and wife Grace Hightower De Niro recently welcomed a daughter, Helen Grace, via surrogate. The couple also has a 13-year-old son, Elliot.

Splits
Will & Grace star Debra Messing, 43, and husband Daniel Zellman announced on Dec. 20 that they separated in 2011 after 10 years of marriage. They have a son, Roman, 7…. Citing ”the behaviour of certain people in my husband’s life,” SinĂ©ad O’Connor, 45, ended her latest marriage only 16 days after getting hitched in Las Vegas to Barry Herridge. In a message on her official website posted on Dec. 26, O’Connor said she didn’t want negative perceptions of her coloring his life and career. ”U love someone?” she wrote. ”Set them free.”

Arrested
American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert, 29, and his boyfriend, Sauli Koskinen, were jailed in Helsinki on Dec. 22 after reportedly getting into an alcohol-fueled argument at a bar. Lambert later tweeted, ”Embarrassed by drunkenness.”

Controversy
Former Disney Channel star Demi Lovato, 19, who left her show Sonny With a Chance partly due to struggles with bulimia, blasted the network on Twitter upon hearing a character on the sitcom Shake It Up quip, ”I could just eat you guys up, you know, if I ate.” Lovato posted, ”EATING DISORDERS ARE NOT SOMETHING TO JOKE ABOUT.” The network responded to Lovato that it was pulling repeats of the episode ”as quickly as possible.”

Courts
Crash director Paul Haggis, 58, and his creative team were awarded $12 million in damages after a Los Angeles judge ruled that the 2005 Best Picture winner’s financier Bob Yari breached his contract by using ”inappropriate accounting procedures.”
