Rob Kardashian finally got a chance to experience what perfection is supposed to feel like on Dancing with the Stars: On Monday, he and partner Cheryl Burke earned their first 30 this season with a freestyle dance. Even sister Kim was on hand to witness her brother’s personal triumph.
“I can’t believe it still. I cannot!” he told reporters after the show. “I did not expect to get a perfect score tonight at all, especially with the freestyle, which is the most important dance. So, super happy, shocked, and just excited, really on a good cloud right now.”
After earning a 27 out of 30 for his waltz, Kardashian goes into Tuesday’s finals on the top of the leaderboard. (Ricki Lake and J.R. Martinez are tied for second with 54 out of a total 60 points). Can the male sibling of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney beat fan favorites like pro Derek Hough and celebrity J.R. Martinez?
“I think it’s anyone’s to lose,” Burke offered.
“We don’t really compare ourselves to anybody but ourselves and everybody who is doing this in this competition is working so hard and everybody had great dances and it’s just really up to the fans and the judges,” Kardashian continued. “But everyone killed it out there tonight.
“It really just makes you realize that you can do something if you put your mind to it because I’m definitely not the dancer until doing this show,” Kardashian continued. “It really just gave me more confidence and shows that if you really work at something you can do it. I’m super uncomfortable when I’m in front of a big group of people and to be able to do this and get a perfect score, just shocked myself.” — With reporting from Carrie Borzillo
