Reviews of new songs from Amy Winehouse Feat. Nas, Far East Movement, and Faith Hill

Posted on

Amy Winehouse Feat. Nas, ”Like Smoke”
It’s a little strange to hear the late, great neo-soul star singing while Nas name-drops Occupy Wall Street. Still, ”Smoke” is a sweet Motown-style groove with all the oh-whoa-ohs we’ve missed. B+Melissa Maerz

Far East Movement, ”Jello”
Jello things that are fun: pops, shots. Jello things that are not fun: having your butt compared to it if you’re a lady. Misguided metaphors aside, the ”Like a G6”-ers’ latest provides a decently zingy buzz. BLeah Greenblatt

Faith Hill, ”Come Home”
Hill’s voice sounds a little thin on this country-pop cover of OneRepublic’s weepie, but the emotion feels real enough to lure her touring husband back to her door. BMM
