Take that, Kate and Pippa Middleton! Back to the drawing board, Beyoncé and Solange Knowles! As part of its annual Best Dressed Issue, Vogue has named Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen its best dressed siblings for 2011. It’s just another award to add to the mantel for the perennial Anna Wintour darlings. Not only have they been setting style trends since they were in rompers, the 25-year-old twins have established themselves as in-demand fashion designers with their lines The Row and Elizabeth & James (the latter is named in part after their emerging starlet sister). So other familial fashionistas made the list?
The youngest of the pack by far were Fanning sisters, 17-year-old Dakota and 13-year-old Elle, who took second place. Beyoncé and her younger sis took seventh, and conservative stunners Kate and Pippa Middleton landed in ninth place, just ahead of Girl With the Dragon Tattoo star Rooney Mara and her sister Kate. Also on the list, Caleb Followill’s wife Lily Aldridge and her sister Ruby, Lars von Trier muse Charlotte Gainsbourg and sister Lou Doillon, plus a slew of European imports, including model sibs Poppy and Cara Delevingne, the four Courtin-Clarins makeup heiresses (Claire, Virginie, Jenna, and Prisca), and Venetian royalty-turned-Parisian socialites Bianca and Coco Brandolini.
Do you agree with Vogue‘s ranking, PopWatchers? What famous siblings were left off the list? Who was included that shouldn’t have been? Who is your favorite style-setting sister (or brother)?
