'Glee' channels Adele

Posted on

Adele’s delightful music has popped up on Glee a couple times before: Last season, Gwyneth Paltrow sang “Turning Tables” in her Emmy-winning role as substitute teacher Holly Holliday, while Jesse (Jonathan Groff) and Rachel (Lea Michele) did the U.K. diva’s smash hit “Rolling in the Deep.”

But there’s more Adele where that came from.

In Tuesday’s Glee, new all-girl group the Troubletones — led by Mercedes (Amber Riley) and Santana (Naya Rivera) — are set to sing a compilation of Adele’s recent hit “Someone Like You” and yet-to-be-singled “Rumour Has It.” The mash-up focused episode is appropriately titled “Mash Off.”

The Glee gods have bestowed the clip of the mash-up to us early — filled with delightful sapphic longing from fan-favorite Santana — so revel in the glory of the Troubletones-on-Adele here:
