On the Books Oct. 4: Dominique Strauss-Kahn book to come, deals for S.C. Gwynne and Chris Cleave

++ A book is in the works from St. Martin’s Press about the Dominique Strauss-Kahn scandal and dropped case. John Solomon, the Newsweek reporter who interviewed Strauss-Kahn’s accuser Nafissatou Diallo, will write the book.

++ Scribner has acquired the rights to Rebel Yell, the next book from S.C. Gwynne about “Stonewall” Jackson in Spring 2012.

++ Simon and Schuster will publish Chris Cleave’s new novel Gold in July 2012.
