Posted on

++ Borders Group Inc., in bankruptcy, is seeking six-figure payouts for the company’s top executives. When the corporate closure is final, more than 10,000 Borders employees will have lost their jobs.

++ Ann Patchett reveals that while researching her novel State of Wonder, she fainted after she witnessed an actual Caesarian section being performed.

++ Bill Hudson, father of Kate Hudson and ex-husband of Goldie Hawn, will be revealing intimate details about his life and the dissolution of his three-year marriage to Hawn in an upcoming memoir. Two Versions: The Other Side of Fame and Family will include parts about his fractured relationship with daughter Kate, whom he recently called a “spoiled brat” on RadarOnline.com.

++ A question on the minds of students and parents (especially parents!) everywhere: Why are college textbooks so expensive?
