Deal Report: Sept. 2, 2011

Sarah Silverman scores NBC sitcom, Joe Manganiello joins Steven Soderberg’s male stripper movie, and more

Pixar is going into production on two as-yet-untitled films. The first, from director Bob Peterson, is a contemporary dinosaur tale and is scheduled for late 2013. The second, from director Pete Docter (Up), will take viewers ”inside your own mind,” Docter says, and is set for 2014.

Sarah Silverman has sold an untitled sitcom loosely based on her life to NBC.

Joe Manganiello is expected to join Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Matthew McConaughey, and Channing Tatum in Magic Mike, a Steven Soderbergh-directed film inspired by Tatum’s real-life experiences as an exotic dancer.
