As someone who’s slipped on a banana peel — twice — I should believe in the impossible, but I’ve got to ask: Has that “You have an eyelash on your cheek, let me get it for you so I can touch your face and stare into your eyes so the audience knows we’re having a moment” bit ever happened to you in real life? It seems to be the new “Let me brush this hair out of your eyes, even though it wasn’t bothering you.” Scott (Tyler Posey) did it to Allison (Crystal Reed) on last night’s series premiere of MTV’s Teen Wolf (pictured). I recall Ben (Adam Scott) doing it to Leslie (Amy Poehler) during their recent road trip on Parks and Recreation (though the joke was that Leslie wanted to avoid that kind of intimacy: “Get away from me… I’m sorry… I’m allergic to fingers”).

I’ve found one colleague who’s had this happen to her, but she admits, “I thought he was lying because it was so corny.” Anyone else? And do guys actually fake it? Smooth.

P.S. If you missed the Teen Wolf premiere, watch it above. Ken Tucker has his official review. I’ll wait until after tonight’s episode — Scott now knows he’s a werewolf, and that Allison’s father is a werewolf hunter — to decide whether it’s getting a season pass.
