Macking on Jack
After bringing in the mail, my fiancée held up the Pirates issue with Johnny Depp on the cover and said, ”Just relax and watch TV — I’m gonna go make out with your ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY!”

The Big O Gets an A
I’m 26, and Oprah Winfrey has been on the air basically my entire life — yet I’d never watched a full episode of her show. Out of sheer curiosity, I started recording Oprah Behind the Scenes and have been in love since the first minute. Thank you so much for your article, which was like another snippet of BTS.

From Screen to Stage
I would hardly call Daniel Radcliffe’s lack of a Tony nomination a ”snub” (Monitor). It is possible he simply didn’t deserve to be nominated. More and more it seems that people just assume Hollywood-celebrity status guarantees a Tony nomination. There was outrage expressed online after some of last year’s Tonys were given to film stars making their Broadway debut, and many long-struggling theater actors were left in the shadows on a night that should have belonged to them.

Where Is the Love?
Something Borrowed, by Emily Giffin, is one of my favorite books. I was eagerly awaiting the film adaptation, and was ecstatic when I found out Giffin was your guest columnist. So imagine my shock when I got to the Movies section and saw that Something Borrowed had received a D+. Considering that you’d given Giffin a whole column to praise her experiences working on the movie, the fact that you panned it in the same issue is insulting to her. Since your critic gave Thor an A-, maybe you should have had director Kenneth Branagh write a column instead?
