'Hunger Games' District 8 tributes

Hunger Games Tribute

What? You thought you’d come to the site today and not see another Hunger Games casting? Wrong! Lionsgate announced on their Facebook page the identities of two more tributes — this time, from District 8, the rebellious region of Panem that plays a significant part in Suzanne Collins’ dystopian novel. Samuel Tan — who is making his movie debut in Hunger Games — will be playing District 8’s unnamed tribute boy, while Mackenzie Lintz, also making her debut, will play District 8’s unnamed tribute girl. Not much is known about either character, but Lintz’s tribute does have a run-in with Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) in the book.

Tan and Lintz join Jennifer Lawrence, Hutcherson, Elizabeth Banks, Liam Hemsworth, Paula Malcomson, Willow Shields, and several unknown actors playing fellow tributes. Hunger Games, directed by Gary Ross, will be in theaters March 23, 2012.
