Charlie Sheen loses longtime publicist

However, at this time, I’m unable to work effectively as his publicist and have respectfully resigned.”

Rosenfield, who represents a number of high-profile actors such as George Clooney, Robert De Niro, Geoffrey Rush and Helen Mirren, has been largely MIA over the last few days while Sheen did a series of shocking radio interviews that culminated with two TV appearances on Good Morning America and Today. The well-respected publicist provided a front-line defense for Sheen whenever he made headlines, and often injected his sense of humor into the statements.

For example, when Sheen’s off-camera antics during a recent Las Vegas trip prompted a series of  “will he or won’t he show up to work” reports, Rosenfield released this statement: “I keep reading that Charlie Sheen did not show up for work today. I read those remarks two hours before his scheduled time of arrival. Charlie Sheen arrived at work today and is there as I send this. Memo to Chicken Little: The sky remains in place.”
