'Friday Night Lights' cast: What's next?

Posted on

What was in the water down in Dillon, Tex.? Alumni from the small-town-set football drama Friday Night Lights — which finished filming its final season last summer — are suddenly some of Hollywood’s most in-demand actors. Here’s a look at the roles they’ve been scoring off the playing field.

Kyle Chandler will star alongside Elle Fanning in J.J. Abrams’ next film project, the sci-fi thriller Super 8 (out June 10).

Connie Britton has the movie Conception (costarring Modern Family‘s Sarah Hyland and Julie Bowen) in the can and is now filming a holiday flick, When Angels Sing, opposite Harry Connick Jr.

Aimee Teegarden will keep doing the teen thing. She has Prom, Beautiful Wave, Scream 4, and Beneath the Darkness all shot and ready for release.

Taylor Kitsch is the lead in two big movies set to premiere next year: the Civil War/Mars mash-up John Carter of Mars and board-game-to-film Battleship.

Minka Kelly (star of the recent obsession flick The Roommate) has just been named one of the three leads in the pilot for ABC’s Charlie’s Angels reboot.

Adrianne Palicki wins the prize for the buzziest gig: She lassoed the Wonder Woman role in David E. Kelley’s pilot for NBC.

Zach Gilford can currently be seen on ABC’s Shonda Rhimes-produced Off the Map.

Scott Porter has been steaming it up opposite Emmy winner Archie Panjabi on CBS’ beloved drama The Good Wife.
