Jimmy Kimmel rises while David Letterman, Jay Leno numbers sag

Posted on

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live‘s 18-49 audience jumped 10 percent compared with last year, making Kimmel the only late-night talk-show host to gain in the second quarter, according to Variety. David Letterman and Jay Leno, however, neared personal lows with their respective shows: Though Leno won the head-to-head contest with his rival (4.0 million to 3.3 million), his ratings were his lowest since 1992. Letterman’s ratings were his worst since 1993, and his program even slipped to third place, trailing ABC’s Nightline.
