Tonight's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' will be brought to you via webcam. Way to go, power outage!

Posted on

A power outage shut down the Jimmy Kimmel Live control room during last night’s taping, so Jimmy ended up recording the whole of tonight’s show (ABC, 12:05 a.m. ET) on his laptop. His laptop!!! (Good thing this insanity didn’t affect Kimmel’s pre-taped Twilight special, which airs tomorrow night.) We’ll still get the television premiere of the Green Hornet trailer (presumably not through the eyes of Jimmy’s webcam) and interviews from Hornet star Seth Rogen and Wipeout‘s John Henson. Musical guest Dierks Bentley made the most of the situation by switching to an acoustic performance from his new album Up On The Ridge (pictured).

I can’t wait — it’ll be just like watching YouTube! Will you tune in for what ABC calls “this unintentionally special episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live“?
