Today (June 9) Billboard announced that “California Gurls,” Perry’s first single from her forthcoming album Teenage Dream, will be the No. 1 record on their Hot 100 singles chart tomorrow. It moves up from No. 2, replacing Usher’s will.i.am-produced “OMG.” This is Perry’s second No. 1 single. Her first was 2008’s raunchy “I Kissed a Girl,” which held the top spot for seven weeks.

Check back with us tomorrow for a full Billboard Hot 100 recap. Are you a fan of Katy’s Golden State anthem? Do you think “California Gurls” will stay at the top as long as “I Kissed a Girl” did?
