Prince celebrates 52nd birthday with a new song, 'Hot Summer': Hear it here

Image Credit: Theo Wargo/WireImage.comOn the occasion of his own 52nd birthday, the Artist Currently Known As Prince has crafted himself a musical gift to honor the occasion, unveiling the song “Hot Summer” this morning on a Minneapolis radio station (via twentyfourbit).

Will it blow your assless yellow pants off? Unlikely, but it’s not bad; kind of a “Little Red Corvette” lite, with a touch of J. Geils Band riffage and a soupcon of the wouldn’t-you-like-a-refreshing-beverage-right-about-now? sunniness of those “I’d Like to Buy the World a Coke” ads. Stream it after the jump:
