Last night's 'Sex and the City 2' premiere fashion: I'm a Carrie!

I was lucky enough to attend the world premiere for Sex and the City 2 in New York last night, and while the fashion in the actual film was kind of a letdown (there, I said it), the girls turned it out on the red carpet in fun and appropriately sexy outfits.

Leading lady Sarah Jessica Parker wore an electrifying neon Valentino gown that was as light and breezy as it was daring. In two words: I want! It had an interesting tail that whipped around her the entire night, which made for quite the red carpet strut. Her hair went for an equally light turn, making her almost unrecognizable. A desire for sartorial change or an effort to dodge clamoring fans? Hmm, you decide.

Kim Cattrall donned a slinky Naeem Khan that looked far from great. Up close, the gown was covered in a very un-elegant daisy print.

Kristen Davis followed Parker’s lead, choosing a fluorescent pink vintage Jean Desses wrap gown that seemed appropriately Charlotte. Between the intricate ruching and the fresh color, it was my second favorite of the night after Parker’s, even if its tight silhouette forced her to penguin walk onto the Radio City Hall stage. (She wisely changed into this vintage Pierre Balmain Couture dress for the after party.)

I could’ve easily missed Cynthia Nixon on the carpet. Since I’m so used to Miranda’s fiery red locks (remember this phase?), I forgot she’s a natural blonde. She was the most muted of the four in a black strapless Carolina Herrera. From far it may not look like much, but up close, it was exquisite.

Which is your favorite SATC look from last night?
