Bret Michaels' rep: 'Cautiously optimistic' that he will attend 'Apprentice' finale

Image Credit: rdan Strauss/WireImage.comBret Michaels’ rep tells People that he is “cautiously optimistic” that the rocker will be at the Celebrity Apprentice finale on Sunday despite suffering a small “warning stroke” this week. “As far as I know, Bret will be there unless his doctors tell him otherwise,” the rep says. “We’re cautiously optimistic that he will attend the finale,” the rep continues. “But ultimately, it’s up to his doctors.” News of the stroke broke last night, when it was also revealed that the 47-year-old singer has a hole in his heart known as a Patent Foramen Ovale. Both conditions are considered treatable and are reportedly not related to the brain hemorrhage. Michaels’ doctor has been quoted expressing concern over his planned appearance on the show this weekend because, “Bret’s brain and body are not quite 100 percent yet.”

We’re big fans of Bret here at the P-Dubs, and want to see him Sunday night as much as anyone — what a letdown if he isn’t there in person with Holly Robinson Peete in the final boardroom evaluation. But first and foremost we want him to heal and ensure he’s able to go on for another couple decades of rockin’, lovin’, and the like. Just get well, man…
