The promotional campaign for Inception, director Christopher Nolan’s first movie since The Dark Knight, has been a teaser, all right. But we’ve finally got a new trailer that delivers some suggestion of a plot to go along with all the atmospheric staring and glimpses of special effects. (SPOILER ALERT, sorta, for what follows.)
It seems Leonardo DiCaprio works in “subconscious security,” a field that is much cooler than regular security because it takes place in your dreams. Basically, he breaks into people’s dreams so he can steal their secrets while they’re sleeping. He may also make buildings rise and crumble, but only in dreams. Michael Caine helps him hire Ellen Page for a project which, wouldn’t you know it, is of special significance in Leo’s life: “I think I’ve found a way home. And this last job, that’s how I get there.” Whoa.
Take a look at the trailer after the jump and weigh in: Now that you have a better idea of what Inception is all about, are you more or less likely to see it?
