Jesse Stone: No Remorse

TV review

Posted on

This is the sixth TV movie starring Tom Selleck as the melancholy, alcoholic Stone, created by novelist Robert B. Parker (who died earlier this year). No Remorse finds Jesse suspended from his job but drawn into some independent investigating of a series of murders in his small Massachusetts town. Directed as usual by Robert Harmon in the low-key style and muted color palette that suit Jesse’s grim demeanor perfectly, it’s a finely calibrated thriller with strong support from Kathy Baker and Parenthood’s Mae Whitman. I hope these Stones roll on forever. B+
