Image Credit: John Sciulli/WireImage.comKid Rock — the man who brought Weezy to the CMAs and old people to their knees on the fields of Stagecoach — has conquered a fresh new corner of Nashville: He’s hosting this summer’s CMT Music Awards.

As per Mr. Rock’s Facebook page, a little after noon today: “The rumors are true – I’m hosting the CMT Awards live from Nashville on June 9th… All I can promise is I will be awesome.”

I tried to question him about this, but was told he apparently headed out on a cruise with his fans today, and didn’t have time to talk. I am starting to think that life for Kid Rock is not so bad. But with Detroit’s most famous cowboy at the helm, will the CMT Awards be, as promised, “awesome”? What do you think, Mixers?
