'Glee,' 'A Single Man,' and 'RuPaul's Drag Race' win GLAAD Media Awards

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) awarded the majority of its media awards during a March ceremony in NYC, but at a celebration in LA last night, the organization announced another batch of winners, including Fox’s breakout comedy Glee, the Tom Ford-directed A Single Man, and Logo reality hit RuPaul’s Drag Race. Additionally, actress Drew Barrymore and comedian Wanda Sykes were honored at the ceremony with special awards. See below for a full list of award winners:

– Vanguard Award: Drew Barrymore

– Stephen F. Kolzak Award: Wanda Sykes

– Outstanding Film: A Single Man

– Outstanding Comedy Series: Glee

– Outstanding Reality Program: RuPaul’s Drag Race

– Outstanding Spanish-Language TV Journalism Segment: “Polémicas Adopciones” Noticiero Telemundo (Telemundo)

The GLAAD Media Awards “elevate and promote fair, accurate and inclusive stories of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues, people and allies that have increased awareness, understanding and respect for the lives of LGBT people.”
