Ratings: 'American Idol,' 'NCIS' top broadcast networks for the week

Fox’s American Idol and CBS’ NCIS topped the ratings for the week ending March 14, according to Nielsen. The Tuesday and Wednesday editions of American Idol took the top two spots, drawing 22.8 million and 20.7 million viewers, respectively. NCIS came in third place, and as the top scripted show, with 19.6 million viewers. Fourth place was yet again Fox’s American Idol Thursday edition, with 19.3 million viewers. Television’s top comedy, Two and a Half Men, showed up in fifth place, with 17.6 million viewers.
