Quentin Tarantino hit with plagiarism lawsuit

Posted on

Director Quentin Tarantino is being sued for plagiarism by a man accusing him of stealing his idea for Kill Bill, according to a lawsuit filed Monday in Los Angeles. Dannez Hunter filed a suit against Tarantino and former Miramax chairman Harvey Weinstein — among others — claiming he had sent a treatment to the company that featured a character named Ren who boasts a Samurai lineage, and watched her mother get killed in cartoon form. Four years later, Tarantino released Kill Bill. Hunter is seeking $1 million in damages.
