Ratings: 'American Idol' dominates with ladies' night

Posted on

NBC must really be missing the Olympics right about now. American Idol blew away the competition on Wednesday, as the Peacock returned to its regularly scheduled programs: Mercy and Law & Order: SVU. Some good news for NBC: Viewers tuned in to see SVU at 10 p.m., which should make the affiliates happy. Some bad news for Oprah Winfrey: Her ABC Oscar special didn’t even do Jay Leno numbers at that hour.
