'Price is Right' model sues for discrimination

Posted on

A former model for the CBS game show Price is Right is suing the network and producer Fremantle Media, claiming she was harassed and discriminated against for being pregnant. Brandi Cochran, a model who had been with the show since 2002, was nearing the end of her maternity leave last week when she learned she was fired from Price. According to the court papers, the show’s producers “discriminated against, harassed, and retaliated against Cochran, including making remarks about her pregnancy, her appearance, her weight, and her eating habits.” Cochran also claimed to have witness attacks against two other models employed by the show, one of whom was fired during her pregnancy. CBS had no comment.
