On their second disc, Odd Blood, Brooklyn’s Yeasayer re-invent themselves as avant-popsters, toying with the sounds of Duran Duran, Yaz, and the Cure. The hookless songs barely make an impression, but the exuberance of most tracks should ease the pain of anyone bemoaning Yeasayer’s defection to pop music. B ?
