Big Brother 11 winner Jordan Lloyd and her costar/boyfriend Jeff Schroeder are back at it again on The Amazing Race 16 (premiering Feb. 14 at 8 p.m. on CBS). The popular pair compare the two experiences.
It’s certainly easier to avoid conflict on the road.
”When you get into a screaming match with someone on Big Brother, you are stuck with them,” says Schroeder, 31. ”You have to confront the problem until you have a resolution. On AR, you can fight with someone during a challenge and then drive away.”
No more jumping into a big bowl of Cheerios.
Unlike the sillier challenges on BB, ”there [were] definitely scarier, more intense, more involved challenges on AR than running around throwing bananas at each other,” admits Schroeder. ”We thought we were going to coast through it. We were not ready for what we were in store for.”
So much for any on-camera canoodling.
”We’re not being so lovey-dovey, which is what everybody wants us to be,” says Lloyd, 22. ”There was one point when I was mad at him and he was mad at me. He was ready to strangle me.”
That’s probably because she still can’t tell time.
It appears Jordan’s mastery of the clock has not improved since her days on Big Brother. ”There were moments like my asking what time we have to be there and her refusing to learn what ‘a quarter till’ is,” says Schroeder. ”A third grader knows what ‘a quarter till’ is. Can you learn it? Maybe in the next couple of days?”
