New Line works with Farrellys, Owen Wilson for 'Hall Pass'

According to The Hollywood Reporter, New Line has taken on the Farrelly Brothers comedy Hall Pass, which was in turnaround at Fox. Owen Wilson will star, with Jason Sudeikis also in talks to join the cast. The story is about a wife who gives her husband a free ticket for extramarital affairs to revive their marriage. Peter and Bobby Farrelly rewrote Pete Jones’ script and will also direct and produce. The production kicks off Feb. 23 in Atlanta. Also, The Farrellys’ Three Stooges film at MGM may be back on track with Bobby Farrelly telling The Boston Globe that Sean Penn will appear in the cast despite having said he was taking a break from showbiz.
