There’s not a drop of new music by the Pixies in this enormous box: just the albums that the pioneering weirdos released between 1987 and 1991, in CD, Blu-ray, and vinyl formats, plus a live DVD. Each of those LPs is a classic, but the $495 price might seem high — until you factor in the stunning visuals that fill the 25-pound package. Designer Vaughan Oliver and photographer Simon Larbalestier, who did the original albums’ packaging, have created a wealth of wonderfully macabre imagery for the books that are Minotaur‘s real reason for being.
