Broadway's 'Oleanna' ending its run

Posted on

In a press release, producer Jeffrey Finn announced that David Mamet’s drama Oleanna would close following its 14-week-run on Broadway. The play, which stars Bill Pullman and Julia Stiles, is directed by Doubt‘s Doug Hughes. Oleanna‘s final performance is scheduled for Jan. 3, 2010. “We’ve had great audiences since September, and as our sales are concentrated through the holidays, January feels like the right time to end,” Finn says in the release.  “Announcing this now still allows audiences seven weeks to experience Oleanna.” The drama, which chronicles a power struggle between a professor and student, began previews this year on Sept. 29.
