Ratings: Fox down from baseball with 'Family Guy' special, football wins for NBC

Fox was back to earthly ratings levels in its first post-baseball Sunday evening with relocated-from-Friday fall sitcom bomb Brothers and American Dad, which, without its regular Family Guy lead-in, was down 2.2 million viewers from its last original airing, according to early Nielsen estimates. A Family Guy special, Seth & Alex’s Almost Live Comedy Show, came in 1.2 million viewers below Family Guy‘s most recent episode and just a bit lower than the two originals it was sandwiched between this week. NBC easily won the night with, of course, sports — Sunday Night Football‘s Cowboys-Eagles matchup scored 19 million viewers, up almost 50 percent over the last game now that there’s no baseball competition.
