Before the February encounter that left Rihanna injured, Chris Brown was involved in two unreported incidents with her that “related to domestic violence,” according to a probation officer’s report filed with the court for the singer’s sentencing today.
The first incident occurred in Europe about three months earlier when Brown and then-girlfriend Rihanna engaged in in a yelling match, the report says. She slapped him, and he responded by shoving her into a wall. Three weeks before Brown’s felony assault arrest in February, Brown and Rihanna had an argument in a loaner car while in Barbados. He got out and broke the driver’s and passenger side windows. No one was injured.
Brown, 20, was sentenced today to five years of probation and 180 days of community labor for assaulting Rihanna, 21.
