What about Madonna and U2?!
Readers wondered why we left two of the world’s biggest live acts out of our Summer Music Preview (featuring Eminem’s comeback).

No Madonna on your list of tours? She had the highest-grossing tour of last year and has sold over one million tickets for the second leg [in Europe] this summer.

I thought that U2, arguably the biggest band in the world, were touring. How were they omitted from the May 29 issue?

The answer is simple: Neither has any U.S. concerts scheduled this summer. We’ll see you there when they return!

Undersung Heroes
What a pleasant surprise to see Patty Griffin listed in the Summer Music Preview. The woman’s remarkable. I’m grateful to you for plugging music so few of us hear…but should.

Thanks for letting people know more about the band Phoenix (Music review section). There aren’t enough fans out there yet for such an amazing group; it’s the only one I’ve never gotten tired of.

Over the ‘Moon’
I was excited to see the New Moon movie exclusive (New Moon Rising”), and I have been showing it to all of my friends. We feel that director Chris Weitz seems to be keeping things true to the book. Thanks, EW — you’ve given me something to survive on till November.

I can appreciate that the cast of New Moon is reading the Twilight series to make sure the characters fulfill Stephenie Meyer’s vision. I just wish someone would’ve given the set designer and costume master the books, too. Bella would never wear the dress she is shown in. (She’s a jeans-and-T-shirt kind of girl.) And in the New Moon book, she didn’t even want to celebrate her birthday, so it doesn’t make sense that she’d dress up for it. What a letdown.

Hallelujah!
After watching the final choral performance from the new Fox show Glee about a dozen times, I have to agree that it was a perfect Bullseye for this issue. Thanks for always finding the right things to point out — both good and bad!

Must List Pick
I would like to thank you for including awkwardfamilyphotos.com on your Must List. I feel like these kinds of websites are written off as immature and stupid, but I love them. After reading about the site, I immediately checked it out and I can comfortably say I have never laughed so hard. Everyone in need of a good de-stresser should give it a look.
