Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor has already raised some $860,000 to finance a heart transplant for NIN fan Eric De LaCruz, mostly by selling various VIP amenities (dinners backstage with the band, access to soundchecks, etc.) while the band is on the road this summer.
Now, according to Billboard.com, his current tourmates Jane’s Addiction have joined the cause, beginning with last night’s concert inBoston. For a $1,000 donation, the group is inviting up to 10 fansper show to their ritual pre-show dressing-room jam,and then giving them a special spot at the side of the stage during the show, as well asan autographed item.
You can see Reznor’s involvement in the cause via his twitter page, which features frequent mentions of Eric and tweets to his sister Veronica De La Cruz, a CNN news reporter currently devoting her time to saving her sibling by raising awareness and finding a donor through sites like WeLoveEric.com.
