Posted on

PBS acquired director Spike Lee’s adaptation of rock musical Passing Strange, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, according to Variety. Strange — which focuses on a young black man who travels to Europe and exploits his LA persona — will air in 2010 as a part of the public television network’s “Great Performances” series. The film may also get a limited theatrical release this summer or fall.
